Insurance Policies
Posted on July 27th, 2008 @ 1:13 am

Life insurance is a very important thing. If something happens to you I’m sure you’d want to know that your family will be OK as well as be able to pay for your furneral arrangements. Talking about life insurance is something people don’t like to talk about because people don’t like to talk about death, but let’s face it…you wont be alive forever. You have insurance on your car, home, pets, television so why not insure your life as well? You can start by looking at term life policies and if that isn’t the route you want to take they have whole life, universal life and other options for you to choose from!

Save Money, DIY!
Posted on July 10th, 2008 @ 4:32 am

People tend to do things themselves because it is cheaper then hiring an outside source because they not only charge you for the parts, they also charge you for installation, labor and service fees. That could very well add up to a pretty penny. If you are thinking about wiring your home for entertainment purposes then you may need to invest in some patch panels. They tend to be perfect for small office or home networks, and best of all you don’t have to pay anyone to come out and install it for you!

Business Plans

I’m always trying to find a way to make money. I’m in school and I’m still not sure what I want to do when I graduate. I want to work for someone but at the same time I want to run my own business. I think with getting a franchise you’re able to experience the best of both worlds. It would of course have to be something I love doing. There aren’t many Cici’s pizza’s around here and I’ve been hearing great things from the people I know who have opened their own franchise restaurant.

Time Tales

I need to buy a watch. I misplaced my favorite watch and I recently found it and guess what? It needs a new battery! I was going to get the battery replaced but it seems like the battery costs more than the watch itself. I should get a Bell and Ross watch. They look very nice and professional. They were even designed by specialist of aircrafts and space controls!

PageRank? Alexa?
Posted on January 27th, 2008 @ 11:37 am

I wish there was a fair way to rank sites outside of Google PageRank and Alexa. If you try to make money off of your site Google punishes you. Why? Yahoo needs to come out with something. I know Google and Yahoo are always flipping back and forth for the number one spot. Right now Yahoo’s PageRank and Alexa is higher than Google’s. I love Yahoo. I love Google too. I can honestly say that I use Yahoo Search more than Google’s because I think it’s more user friendly. I also like going to the front page and reading the stuff they have up there. Most of the time it’s interesting. I love Gmail and Google Reader. I love Yahoo Messenger and Flickr. Both companies have great things to offer. Yahoo has been around for a little while longer but it seems like people talk about Google more. As long as I’m able to get what I need from them they’re both cool in my book.

I just think it would be interesting if Yahoo came out with a PageRank system. I also think it would be fairer. Yahoo doesn’t have a big ad campaign and you don’t see them bringing in the money from bloggers and site owners. They might actually let us make money with our site and rank us at the same time.

I’m happy with all of my sites at the moment. I hardly ever feel that way. I have 4 sites and I’m not one to keep the themes and whatnot fresh but I’ve actually been doing it lately. I feel like my sites are doing well and instead of being awarded for that, I’m being punished. I also could use any extra earnings given my financial situation.

Selling Your Business?
Posted on January 27th, 2008 @ 10:40 am

I often forget that people who own small businesses have the option of selling their business. You may have buyers if your business is successful and brings in a lot of money. I just figure why would you want to sell your business if it’s doing good? I guess you can get out while you can. Some people look forward to retiring and spending time with their families so why not sell your business when it’s in its prime? You should contact a Business valuation consultant before you make any deals so you can see what your business is really worth. Who knows, maybe you can sell it for more than you thought you could!

I Need A Shopping Cart
Posted on January 22nd, 2008 @ 9:10 pm

I have so many things I want to get rid of. I think my best option is selling those things online. Sometimes the fees on ebay are an annoyance because if your stuff doesn’t sell you still have to pay. This is why having your own shopping cart for your site can be helpful. You’d only have to pay monthly fees to securely host your shopping cart.

Ashop is a web-based online store and no installation is required. With Ashop Commerce you can accept credit cards online from your buyers and the design of your shop is fully customizable.

Ashop Commerce is a leading provider of hosted shopping cart software. So if you have things that you want to sell such as books, clothes, jewelry, artwork or anything then you can create a store for your customers to purchase your items securely. You shouldn’t be stuck with doing all the work and Ashop makes that statement true.

$800 Tax Rebate
Posted on January 20th, 2008 @ 7:15 am

It’s been all over the news. There is talks of a $800 tax rebate for low and middle income citizens. The economy is at an all-time low because everyone seems to be poor. It’s a struggle finding a job and keeping a job. Without jobs we can’t afford to buy things, and if people don’t buy things stores go out of business. The government expects us to use the $800 to buy things. That’s their motivation for doing it–to help out the economy. I don’t know about you, but I hope this does get passed. They aren’t going to tell us what to use the money on and I surely know I could use it on a lot. I can use it to pay bills, to pay 2 months of rent, to pay off some of my credit cards. It hasn’t been approved yet but it’s in the works. Bush is for it. Congress is for it. Everyone is for it. I don’t see it not getting approved so hopefully we’ll see some checks in the mail…soon! But remember, in order to get this rebate check you MUST file your 2007 taxes. Each person will get up to $800 and each household will get no more than $1600. I already filed my taxes…did you?

World Traveler
Posted on January 20th, 2008 @ 7:01 am

I want to travel. I’d love to have a job that consisted of me traveling around the world. Maybe somehow I can find something that will relate to my degree and allow me to do the things I love. For that very reason I’m interested in getting some travelpro luggage. If you’re going to travel around the world you have to have some great luggage!
