Jordin Sparks Loses WeightPosted on September 2nd, 2007 @ 4:10 pm
Everyone knows that I’m a Jordin Sparks FANATIC! I love her. I think she’s beautiful/adorable/sweet/kind. I’m also really happy for her because I picked her before they showed Idol. You know, when they broadcast the commercials. I’m like she should win! I just thought she was cute and had a nice voice. Then when I saw her audition I was still rooting for her. Throughout the show I was rooting for her. Even when she messed up Christina Aguilera’s “Reflection” I was hoping she didn’t get voted off. That’s rare. I usually get mad when people mess up Xtina, but not this time. Today I was disturbed when I saw this:
It looks like she lost weight. A lot of weight. It could be the photo shoot, the camera, the angle or something but she looks skinny! What happened to those curves that she was oh so proud of. I’m a curvacious girl and to see another curvacious woman of color get voted as the American Idol really made me happy in the inside. It gave me hope. Now it looks like she’s been on some type of Nicole Richie diet. I hope this isn’t true. I hope my eyes are playing tricks with me…

Jordin Sparks Shows Us Her TattooPosted on August 23rd, 2007 @ 11:05 pm
No…Jordin doesn’t show us her tattoo. Jordin probably doesn’t even have a tattoo but she does have a brand new single that is being released on Friday entitled “Tattoo”. I am so excited about this. The second I read it I was going everywhere to make sure this was true, and yes, it’s true indeed. Jordin says that she fell in love with the song as soon as she heard the chorus and she knew that she had to sing this song. Hopefully we will feel the same way. I love Jordin. I don’t want to see her fail. This is why I will be on AOL’s PopEater all day until they post her song. I think you all should do the same. Also, Tattoo, her first official single, will hit the radio waves on Monday. Her album is expected to be released on November 20, 2007. Just in time for Christmas. Go Jordin…GO!

Now that Idol is gone I feel like there is nothing for me to talk about. I’ve been stalking Jordin. I love that girl! My coworker gave me the EW magazine with Jordin on the cover. I was geeked! I can’t explain how geeked I was but you should know that I was geeked! I’m really happy for her. I’m excited about her album and everything. I hope she releases it soon and I hope it’s really good. Idol has a problem with making good CDs but hopefully hers will be on the same par with Carrie’s. I can’t wait. Hopefully I’ll have some new and exciting info to bring to you soon. I’m thinking about going to the Idol’s tour but I don’t know if I really want to. I mean I’d love to see Jordin, Melinda, Blake and LaKisha but everyone else is bleh.

Jordin Is My Idol!Posted on May 28th, 2007 @ 3:52 am
Congrats goes out to Jordin Sparks. I was so happy when Ryan Seacreast announced the winner on Wednesday. Jordin is amazing. I love her. It made me so happy because I’ve been rooting for her since the first run of her audition in January. She’s so great! Blake is great too but I loved Jordin more. I was really mad that Melinda wasn’t in the finale but that’s how the cookie crumbles sometimes. Could you imagine a Jordin-Melinda finale? I would’ve spent the 4 hours trying to decide who I wanted to give my vote to. LOL.

Congratulations Jordin!Posted on May 26th, 2007 @ 2:27 pm
A few days ago Jordin took home the title as well as a Mustang, lol. Jordin Sparks is our new American Idol. I’m especially excited this year because I’ve been rooting for Jordin since I saw her audition. She was just so cute. The curly hair. The smile. Everything. And she wasn’t a stick figure so that was also a good look. Now she is our American Idol. I can’t tell you how happy I am. I was crying and everything when the results were announced. If Jordin didn’t win then something was wrong. On the last showcase she sung Fighter, A Broken Wing and This Is My Now. I thought she was amazing. Especially on “This Is My Now” since Blake sung the song right before her and it didn’t do him any justice. I felt sorry for him. Then she came out and sung that song. It was so beautiful. It was as if she had already won. That’s how you do it, Jordin. It was kinda messed up that they picked a song that suited Jordin’s voice, but that definitely did get the point across. This is a singing competition and the true singer won. Yaaaaay Jordin!

AI: Melinda’s Bad DayPosted on May 22nd, 2007 @ 4:24 pm
Tonight is the Finale of American Idol. I was trying to hold off on blogging about last week’s elimination for the longest. As you know the amazing Melinda Doolittle is no longer on the show. She deserved to be in the finale more than anyone, and she’s gone. I was sure that Jordin or Blake were going to be booted. I wanted the title to go to either Melinda or Jordin and I couldn’t choose because I loved them both so much. But the page flipped. I was shocked. My mouth dropped to the floor. I’m still in shock. I don’t know what the show is going to be like tonight. I’m sure it’s still going to great because I like both Jordin and Blake. But it’s Melinda-less. It still seems surreal.
Well, tonight is the finale. The American Idol of 2007 will be crowned tomorrow night. There will be a 2-hour season finale with all kind of celebrities there. Remember last year when Prince kinda sorta just showed up? I wonder what the surprise is gonna be this year. It can’t be Elvis because he already made his appearance this year. Don’t forget to tune in tomorrow to see the season finale.

AI: Top 6/Idol Gives BackPosted on April 25th, 2007 @ 7:59 pm
So…American Idol last night was great. It was so great. I didn’t have to cover my ears for anyone and I didn’t wish for anything to end immediately. I’m quite pleased with that. The only person that I feel didn’t come through was LaKisha. She sung a Fantasia song…”I Believe” to be exact, and it wasn’t the greatest thing I’ve ever heard. When I heard her singing it all I could think of was Fantasia and how unique her voice was and how LaKisha shouldn’t have sung that. That doesn’t mean she was bad, it just means she wasn’t as good as Fantasia.
If I had to select a bottom 3 it would be LaKisha, Chris, and Phil. With LaKisha being voted off.

AI: Idol Gives BackPosted on April 19th, 2007 @ 11:32 pm
I’m so glad to hear that American Idol is doing something for children in need. It’s a really great program, and it makes my heart smile. It’s also great to see how many companies are jumping aboard by donating money to a great cause. I think we often get caught up in the glitz and glamor of American Idol that we don’t realize that this is a step in the right direction. Celebrities are gathering together for two very special nights. American Idol is the most watched show, so why not make it a concert-esque event. I can’t wait to see what they have in store.
Don’t forget to vote! I know a lot of people thing “my vote doesn’t matter”, but tonight it really does matter. For each vote that is cast sponsors are going to make a donation to charity. Some of us not be financially stable to help out, so just call a few times. Show your support!

AI: Bad Day Pt VIPosted on April 18th, 2007 @ 9:44 pm
Sooo…I don’t want to be the bearer of bad news, but if you haven’t heard…SANJAYA IS GONE!!! This is not a joke. I am not fooling anyone. SANJAYA was booted off of American Idol today. I think Simons little chat with America finally worked. Enough is enough. It was funny, but this is a singing competiton where we pick people who can actually sing. First Haley gets the boot, then Sanjaya. I feel bad for the little guy…kinda.
I liked his exit. “Let’s give them something to talk about…other than haaaaaair!” Yes, he did say hair.
I might talk more about the results show and last nights Idol later on.

AI: TonightPosted on April 17th, 2007 @ 5:20 am
Tonight is Country week on American Idol. It happens every year, and sometimes it’s great. Sometimes…not so much. I’m looking forward to my girls and Blake. I hope they don’t weird off. The girls need to stick with Shania Twain and Carrie Underwood. I think they’ll be good if they do that. I know singing Carrie might not be a good idea if they mess up the song since she’s a former Idol, but at least you’d have a chance with her songs. She has nice songs, but they are popular so I don’t know if anyone is willing to step in that pit of fire. We will see what happens tonight. Martina McBride is the guest mentor. Hopefully it’s fun but I don’t think any mentor could top J.Lo. She’s so hot. Even her performance was hot. Smokin’ hottt! And she’s so sweet and down to Earth. You know, Jenny from the block…
