We all do it, and to be honest I wish I did it a little more. There are some things I just gotta have. I feel bad for purchasing it, and then I think to myself, heck, I work ALL the time. I can’t buy this one little thing to make myself happy? So I go ahead and get it. The dilemma comes when I get home. I try to decide if I should tell my mother that I splurged. It’s my money, but I hate hearing “you didn’t need that” when it’s something that I really wanted.

I finally got some new glasses. That’s right! NEW GLASSES FOR ME!!! This is my first pair of glasses since my 19th birthday. I’m glad because those were a long 3 years for my last pair, and they are still kicking. This time I bought 2 pair. One is black and the other, of course, is purple. That’s right…I got my 2 favorite colors…and the lenses match the frames. I’m so cool.

I didn’t know how wonderful freshwater pearls were until last year! I caught a pair on sale for $15 and I didn’t buy them because I didn’t think I had a need for them. I very rarely wear necklaces because they irritate my neck. I was fortunate enough to be selected to receive a pair of freshwater pearls from PearlParadise.com and I absolutely love them! Whenever I’m trying to dress up but not over dress I wear my freshwater pearls.

The economy is in such a terrible state right now. Today I was checking out the unemployment rates across the country and Michigan by far has the highest. That’s such a sad thing but I know it’s true. I was in that position for nearly a year. I have the experience and the qualifications and yet I wasn’t able to get a job.

One thing that I’ve noticed with everyone being jobless is the price on homes and buildings. Real estate is dirt cheap because families and businesses had to move since they lost their jobs and clients and therefore couldn’t afford to pay the rent. People are trying to sell these places so they are slashing the prices. If you do have the money and are looking to buy a new home or some commercial real estate then the time is now! You can buy a nice place for very little, fix it up and sell it for 3 times what you paid for it, if not more. Hey, it’s just a suggestion.

It’s getting really cold outside really fast. Times like these I wish I had a significant other just for the body heat. It’s nice to snuggle up next to someone in front of the fire with a mug of hot chocolate. Well it seems nice because I surely don’t know if it is or not.

While you are being all cozy with your significant other why don’t you spice things up a little bit with some sexy lingerie. I’m sure that will keep things interesting and it would be unexpected. People expect those things around Valentines day or birthdays but it’s near the end of October and unless they have a birthday coming up that will definitely catch them off guard!

I have a training session to go to in a few hours. I’ve been working at my company for nearly 3 months and they finally decided to have a training session. Great, huh? I don’t want to go because at those sessions you have to talk. Training anywhere is annoying. Imagine being trained after you knew the job? Really? What kind of sense does that make? But I can’t say no, I’m not going to go. So yep…I’ll be there tomorrow, learning the ins and outs of the company.

My manager said it’s good because I have a heads up. I’ve been with the company for a while, I work at the busiest store in our district and I already got my promotion. Hahaha. It seems so crazy. All I need now is a raise. I’m kind of disappointed by my pay rate. But what can I do? Suck it up and take it. I’m not sure if this new position comes with a raise. I haven’t heard anything about that yet and if it doesn’t I’m not schedule for a raise until 3 months from now. I’ll probably let you know how the training went later on.

I love water. Sometimes I wish I could stay in the bathroom all day under the water. It could be washing my hands or in the shower. I just love the warm stream over me. It is very relaxing. It’s not good to use too much water though. I try my best to conserve as much as I can, but sometimes it would be nice to be able to.

Why does it seem like water is always better with a nice faucet. If I’m under an old faucet that has rust stains all around it and looks like it’s about to fall off the sink I’m sure to get out of there quick. I know I would feel great under a new Kohler faucets. I wouldn’t mind drinking water from the faucet because it wouldn’t look like rust is coming out with the water. That’s one of the minor features that I love about a home but a beautiful faucet in the kitchen and bathroom could do wonders!

I’ve been working in retail for quite a while now. It’s a job that has it good and bad things. But really, I guess that is what you get with every job. With my current job I really don’t like how we have to bother each and every customer. They get annoyed and start acting rude when I really didn’t do anything wrong. I’m just trying to do my job. I ask them for help and they catch an attitude. I ask to see their ID when they pay with a credit card and they huff and puff and then throw the ID at me. I’m just trying to help you people out!

Everyone knows about identity theft but I guess they figure it wont happen to them. Someone stole my moms wallet before and it had one of my credit cards in it. They went charging away. She noticed it was gone within an hour and the damage had already been done. I’m just trying to help other people. If I didn’t ask for ID and their card was stolen the first thing they would say is “why didn’t you check?” You have to be careful at retail pos systems because if you can just go around swiping your card everywhere what will happen if you did lose your wallet? You would be out of a ton of money and you will be sitting there wishing someone carded the person who stole from you. So really is an additional 5 seconds that could save you thousands of dollars worth all the huffing and puffing? I think not!

I keep saying that I want to go on a vacation. I really just want a break from the norm. Get out of Michigan for a few days and just enjoy life. It seems like whenever I have time off I spend it with my family. Don’t get me wrong, I love family time. Sometimes you just want to get away and do something different. Spend time with people you don’t see often, or just spend time with yourself.

In order for me to go on a trip I need to buy some luggage. I don’t have any. I’ve never really owned my own set of luggage. I had some family hand me downs but we all used those as a family. Nothing has ever been all mine. If I got some luggage I know it would be black with a nice purple trim. I just love those two colors!

For some reason I’m so tired tonight. It could be because I woke up at 8am so I could go to work. Today was my first day opening the store all by myself! It went well if I may say so myself. After work I drove straight to Detroit. Got home, ate a sub and then went to a community meeting and that about sums up my day. Nothing too exciting going on. I feel so tired. I think I’m going to go to sleep before midnight. I wanted to go to sleep at 8:30 but I’ve been pushing myself to stay up. If I go to sleep early I wake up a couple hours later then my schedule is all out of wack. Not like I have a schedule anyway, but you know what I mean. I’m going to finish up what I need to finish up and call it a night. I can barely keep my eyes open!
