I’m Dreaming Of…
Posted on March 23rd, 2008 @ 6:26 pm

A White Easter? Yep, you heard me right. We got a ton of snow for Easter…more than we got for Christmas for sure. We missed out on a Christmas storm because it showed up a week early. The weather around these parts is so unpredictable but I think everyone is used to what we deem “Michigan Weather”. What is Michigan weather exactly? It’s more than just getting snow. Michigan weather is simply this: If you don’t like the weather…wait 5 minutes. It could be a full on pouring down rain blast. 5 minutes later the sun will be shining and the birds will be chirping. It could be 50 degrees outside. 5 minutes later a terrible snow storm. That’s pretty much what happened on Friday. My sister had on a little jacket because it wasn’t cold outside. We were shopping for her Easter wear and all of a sudden…BAM! We had to clean off the cars after coming out of each and every store. The roads were so bad and it took us an eternity to get home.

Now on to Easter. If you don’t know Easter was today. I didn’t go to sleep last night so I went to the Sunrise Service. I’ve been going to the Sunrise Service longer than I can remember (pretty much all my life, I’m sure). I also go to Easter service. I’m not one of those people who show up to church once a year in their new clothes and that day just happens to be Easter. Nope, not I. I went to church at 6am, fellowshipped with some church members in the lower level (mainly the babies) and that was about it. I think the mamas like when I’m there because they can ditch their babies and I’m cool with it because they don’t cry with me. One of the girls that hung around me is learning two languages…Spanish and English. She was kinda hard headed so I was doing the Spanish and English thing. LOL. My sister was laughing at me. I would tell the girl to come here and she kept walking so I started speaking Spanish and she paid attention…for a bit. Then she kept saying NO! And of course I was saying Sí.

Somewhere between 6am and 9:30am I got sick so I didn’t go to regular service. I was also really tired since I didn’t sleep the night before. I woke up exactly an hour ago and the first thing I did was IM my baby. That’s the first thing I do on most days. LOL.

I know it seems like WOAH! She’s blogging over here! I’m trying to get rid of my other site so I don’t plan on doing any personal blogs over there. I also plan on opening up a new site soon! I’m trying to do some things with my flickr account but that’s mostly family and personal photos so I don’t think I’ll link that on my sites. I’m trying to come up with something better than flickr that I can host on my own site so I can avoid paying the $25/year since I already have to pay for hosting and whatnot. That’s $2 a month that I can put towards my own server! Speaking of my own server…I need to get a move on that. I wish I would’ve brought my hard drive this weekend.

I should eat and get ready to go back home. I don’t feel like driving all the way back to Ann Arbor and my cramps are coming back. GRRR! Hope you had a Happy Easter :)

A Vacation Is In Need
Posted on March 23rd, 2008 @ 6:06 pm

This weather makes me want to get away to a resort as soon as possible. You think you’re done, but nope. It’s never over. It’s so hard to believe it’s spring. Soon I’ll be out of school and hopefully the weather will be nice so I’ll be able to enjoy it. I wouldn’t mind topping it off with a little vacation to the Branson resorts. I’m sure me and the misses would have a wonderful time.

How About Teak Furniture?
Posted on March 23rd, 2008 @ 6:03 pm

Getting a patio with my new place is optional so if I get a patio I’m going to need to get some teak furniture. There’s so much shopping that comes along with a new place. Good thing I like shopping. Hopefully if I decide to get a patio I’ll be able to find something that fits my personality.

Investigating The Sinks
Posted on March 23rd, 2008 @ 5:58 pm

I’m moving into a new place and one of the things I want to check out first is the bathroom sink. We have two sinks in my current place, not including the kitchen sink. One in the bathroom and one in the vanity. I don’t like the one in the vanity so much but that’s the one that gets used the most! It looks like it has a permanent dingy color and when you are trying to wash it you can tell it isn’t as smooth as it should be. I hope I don’t have to deal with this at my next place…but at least it works.

My Heart Will Go On
Posted on March 21st, 2008 @ 11:03 pm

I’m trying to make back some of the money that I spent today. This was unexpected. This is why I don’t go into stores…especially with my siblings. I spoil them. I bought them some school supplies because they needed it, we got I Am Legend and Enchanted. I also got some glasses for my place. A set of 16 for $9. I thought that was a deal. Now I come home and regret spending so much. It kinda just added up. That’s why I like online shopping. You know exactly how much you’re spending at all times. With stores you have to add up receipts or you get to the front counter and expect to spend $20 when in fact you’re spending $50. I hate that. I need to find a job SOON. I can’t afford to spend any more money on anything. My T-Mobile bill is insane this month too. I think I’m going to be hurting for a little while. I’ll be able to survive…I just wont be living life in the luxurious lane. That’s cool though. Gotta save up money for my new place as well as pay the school a TON of money.

The title comes from the song My Heart Will Go On in case you were wondering. My little sister is singing it right now. I love my siblings! It’s been great being able to spend time with them.

Needles? No Thanks!
Posted on March 21st, 2008 @ 10:56 pm

I went to the hospital today and I had to get my blood work done. They ended up poking me in over 6 different spots multiple times. And guess what? They ended up with NO blood and I ended up with a bruised arm. I had to go to a special lab and they were able to get a ton of blood pretty fast. It was a breeze compared to the torture fest I went through earlier. I don’t see how drug addicts can deal with sticking themselves. I’m so bruised! I know I would check myself into one of the many drug treatment centers quick because it doesn’t make any sense for my arm to feel/look like this!

Wine Glasses
Posted on March 21st, 2008 @ 10:49 pm

I was looking at wine glasses today. I plan on buying a bunch of things for my new place and I’m trying to stock up as I find things on sale. I think I love just about every style of the Riedel Wine Glasses. They look very different and unique. I love the Decanter selection because the shapes are odd and they add a touch of class.

Connecting The Net
Posted on March 21st, 2008 @ 10:45 pm

A CAT5e cable came in handy yesterday. I had to configure a new wireless router for my home and the way my internet service provider acts with my computer makes it very difficult to do anything. Luckily I had an extra cable so I was able to route that through my wireless router and everything worked out. I’m so glad to have everything up and running.

Slacking…
Posted on March 16th, 2008 @ 8:17 pm

I’m started to slack on blogging again. I guess it comes and goes. I went from blogging every other day to once a week. I have some updates that I should add. I was blogging all the time during the American Idol tryouts and now I haven’t been up to it. I’ve been tired and busy with school. It seems like I have so much do and everything is crashing down on me. I have a Spanish exam every other week starting Tuesday. I’m going to be beat because everything I do from this point on will make or break me.

Well, I’m going to make something for dinner (most like Italian) and then start studying Spanish. I’m dedicating tonight, tomorrow and as much of Tuesday as I can to studying Spanish. Wish me luck!

And as for Idol, I’ll most likely do a mega-Idol post sometime this week. Keep an eye out for that.

Make Them Go To Rehab
Posted on March 16th, 2008 @ 1:11 am

Growing up in the city I’ve seen so many people get into the drug scenes. Some have been friends and that’s been hard to deal with. Sometimes you have to walk away from people you really care about because they try to destroy you and everything you are trying to accomplish. If you are having this problem then I would suggest trying to get them to go to a drug rehabilitation center. That’s the first step in helping them get over their addiction.
