Wet basements are often a problem in Michigan due to how the homes were set up. If you’ve been a victim of a wet basement before then you know the time and effort it takes to get everything cleaned up and in order. B-Dry is a basement waterproofing system. In order to install B-Dry you would have to have technicians come in a waterproof your basement. Since homes vary in size they would first have to come out and give you an estimate on how much it would cost. No worries, this estimate is free! So why not prevent the unwanted basement flooding today?

I’m the champion of wasting time. I’ve been online for hours and I did a few blogs but that’s about it. I’ve been looking around for things that I can cook when my siblings get here and I think I’m going to try my hand at making pretzels. Hopefully they’ll be OK and if they’re not then I don’t have to suffer and eat them alone. I also want to make a strawberry cheesecake but I’m going to save that for the fall. There is so much that I want to do but my mind feels cluttered. I need to clean my apartment. I do believe if you are surrounded by junk the more cluttered your mind will be. Maybe because you’re thinking about everything that’s going on around you at the same time? I don’t know.

But yeah, I need to think of some more goodies to bake. I think I’m going to make a cheap/simple dinner such as tuna salad and pasta salad or something of that nature. I really don’t feel like cooking. It’s just too hot for most things. I’ll post pics of my pretzels if I get around to making them. I also took pics of the cinnamon loaf that I made last night.

I was a math tutor for 3 years. I tutored middle school and high school students on a college campus. Tutoring kids is a life changing experience. You care about them and you make it your business that they are actually learning what you are teaching them. If score tutors promise to be that committed and dedicated I would have no problem with have my child tutored by their math tutors. As long as the child’s education is the main focus then it is OK by me.

So there is this program that you can download on most cell phones called the mobile faker. You know when you’re watching a TV show and someone is about to go on a date and they ask one of their girls to call them in 2 hours just in case the date is going bad so they can get the hell outta dodge. Well now your friends are off the hook. With this program you can log on and tell select a time for a fake person to call your phone. When you receive the call it will tell you exactly what to say in order to get out of the date. It says things such as “OK, hold on, hold on, give me the hospital address…I will be right there!” “OH NO! I’m on my way.” If I was on a date I would think it was going terrible if someone had to get out of a date with that kind of excuse. I know it’s possible but I’ve seen it happen entirely too much so I would know what’s up. Why not just be honest with a person instead of paying $1 each time you decided to use this service. I’ve never been on a date but I think I would try to stick it out until the end. It just seems rude to just up and leave like that.

I plan on going to Florida at some point in my life. Hopefully it’ll be within the next few years. I think everyone should visit the sunshine capital at least once in their lifetime. I really want to go to Disney World. I’ve wanted to visit there since I was little; being the huge Disney fan that I am. The other day I was checking prices on tickets and whatnot. It’s a little on the expensive side but it’s full of memories that you will never forget. I know I’m going to keep my eye on the Disney News for any sales and such. If I do go I definitely want to live in one of the Orlando villas. In a villa you have more privacy than you do in a hotel and it’s more like a cozy home environment. I’ll also try to visit the
Reunion Resort If things go well maybe this time next year I’ll be in Florida!

Recently I applied for another credit card because I wanted to transfer a balance because my APR on my other credit card is entirely too high and when I did so I found some interesting things on why I was denied credit. The only thing I’m worried about is a delinquent account.

Serious delinquency.
Length of time accounts have been established.
Time since delinquency is too recent or unknown.
Proportion of revolving balances to revolving credit limits is too high.

Everything else I understand. Most of my credit line was built when I entered college so that means I’ve had credit cards for 2-3 years. I think that’s a good length of time to consider. I’ve had credit cards and I pay them all on time. I also understand the revolving balances being too high. Most of my credit cards are pretty much maxed out and I am working on that. This time next year they will all be clear if I can help it. But this delinquency matter is bothering me. I think it has something to do with a bank account that my father overdrew some time ago. Like in 2005 or early 2006. I’m not sure, I just know that I was still living in the dorms at that time. I really want to take care of that because I don’t like that begin on my history. I’ve been trying to get access to a credit report but unfortunately it’s not working out to my advantage so I don’t know what’s going on. Hopefully I’ll figure this out by the end of the week. This is why knowing what’s on your credit is important. I try to check every 4 months or so.

Many of you have probably heard about the new plan that BP has made with Indiana in order to dump more waste into Lake Michigan as well as get oil from Canada. Personally I believe that this is a toss up. If you have a car or if you go outside on a daily basis you will notice how expensive gas is. One day it can be 2.97/gallon for regular and the next day it’s 3.57 for regular. We rely on getting our petroleum from countries in the middle east and they aren’t a reliable source. BP made a plan that will make it possible to dig for petroleum in Canada and refine it and sell it as gas. After refining BP will release 54% more ammonia and 35% more sludge into Lake Michigan. Even though that does seem like a lot of toxic going into Lake Michigan they are still well within the legal limits and they are only releasing treated water into Lake Michigan.

As with most things, once you start something new you will continue to find ways to improve it. With technology today things are constantly being updated and as long as they continue to use modern technology hopefully the environment and no people in the surrounding areas will be harmed. BP is trying to provide more fuel for the Midwest as well as being conscience of the environment. By them doing so they are opening up 80 new full-time positions.

If you haven’t heard Hilary Duff is on the cover of the August issue of Maxim. For some reason I was surprised when I heard this because I don’t think of her as Maxim material. Then I thought that maybe she was going down the Lindsay Lohan slutty road, but no. I am completely wrong. Everyone seems to be complaining about this issue because she’s not slutty at all. I actually think it’s pretty tasteful. You can’t please people no matter how hard you try. If she would have been slutty in this issue then everyone would be calling her a slut whore just like Lindsay Lohan. I like you Hilary. You’re smart and tasteful. Keep ya head up girl.
