I’ve noticed that we always seek things that are familiar and this isn’t always good. We tend to be attracted to people that in some way or another look alike, act alike, are just like the person you left. Is it because we are too scared to search for something better, or are we just to comfortable with always knowing what’s going to happen. I’ve been looking at different relationships and they aren’t as spontaneous as they seem. It’s hard putting your heart on the line but after a while you get used to the routine. Girl meets boy, boy leaves his girlfriend for girl, boy cheats on girl, girl cries until she finds another boy. If you know someone has a significant other and you force yourself into their lives (and they let you in) you need to reevaluate that situation before you go any further. If it was so easy for him to dump his girlfriend to be with you what makes you think he wont do the same when something new/better comes along?

I think we all play the familiar game, be it with friends, lovers, school, work. We do what’s easy. If you are used to the game you know the moves to make in order to succeed…and if you find yourself looking for a mate time and time again maybe you should try something new.
