A Little Down Time :)
Posted by Xine | Filed under Uncategorized
So school seems to be coming back together. I went waaaay left for a minute. I had a break down. Considered withdrawing from the entire semester. I decided to just withdraw from the class that I could possibly fail since I don’t understand a lick of what’s going on. Now that I’m back on track I feel like I can do this. I got back 3 papers from the 3 classes I decided to keep. Now that I know what to expect, and what I’m doing I plan on those grades going up. I had to do a presentation today in class. It was terrifying. It helped that only 2-3 people were actually paying attention/looking at me. Sad but I didn’t mind. I’m going to spend the weekend with my family. I’m so excited. This is the first “down time” I’ve had since Christmas. After teaching my class on Friday I’m going to have lunch with the fam, then off to work I go. I have to go to work on Saturday morning as well so I wont go back home until Saturday evening and then I’m going to stay home until Sunday after church. YAY! I’m too pumped. LOL!
Proactiv

If you watch television you’ve seen a proactiv commercial. They come on local television as well as cable television. What is your favorite proactiv review? I like it when I see the celebrity reviews. Especially when they show Alicia Keys. It’s weird seeing her on that commercial because I didn’t know her skin was that bad! The wonders makeup and proactiv can do! Which proactiv commercial is your favorite?
Removing Blemishes…

You can get surgery for everything these days! Last year I got a mole removed. I thought it was going to be painful, but it was pretty painless. I didn’t even have to get stitches. My doctor did it right in her office! I wonder if acne scars removal will be that easy and painless. I don’t know anyone who has had to have that done. I wonder if you have to have laser surgery to remove the scars. I really need to research that!
Natural And Happy!

I made it to my one year anniversary! I cut my hair one year and two days ago. It’s hard to believe that it’s been that long but at the same time it feels like it has been longer. I love my natural hair. For the most part it’s easy to manage since I basically just wash it. I want to spend the next year experimenting with more styles and going back to taking care of my hair like I did the first six months after cutting my hair. I don’t know where I went wrong along the line but I don’t do half of the things that I used to do and I need to start treating my hair better! I want to have natural, healthy hair.
To Be Natural…

I’ve noticed that since I’ve gone natural I’m also starting to care about what I put in my body and not just on my head. We eat so many things that are bad for us! With this new diet I hope to find some natural diet supplements. I know this will definitely help me reach my goal. If I’m taking natural supplements I wont be adding additional things to my body that are bad for me.
I Love It!

As you should know I’m natural. I had my one-year big chop anniversary on the 11th of this month. It’s hard to believe it has been a year. I definitely see how my hair is healthier. It’s thicker and it seems to be growing. It’s definitely longer than it was when I cut it a year ago which is good! Now I’m worried about how to prevent hair loss. I know that I don’t take care of my hair as well as I did when I first cut it off. I need to come up with a better system. I never oil my hair. I know that is causing damage as well. I need to just braid it until I’m out of school because I’m way too busy to groom myself!

Do you smoke? I know I don’t. I don’t have the lungs for it. I cough when I smell smoke. I haven’t had the chance to smoke a cigar before. I don’t know how this would change the way I feel about smoking. If you like Backwoods cigars then you must know something about smoking because I don’t know the difference between backwoods or front yard cigars. I’m sure it matters, but since I’m not a smoker, and to me smoke is smoke I really don’t understand.
American Idol Is Back!

American Idol is back on, and of course that’s my favorite show. Every year it seems to get worse. I don’t really care for it anymore, but I have to watch it! That’s what I do from January-May. I now catch it on my dvr if I miss it because I’m not at home or whatever. I’m not really missing much. Ellen did her first show the other day. I’m not sure how this is going to work out. I do miss Paula. Oh well. Things change. I can’t see this show being on for too much longer, especially since Simon will be leaving at the end of the season!
Why Pay More?

The economy is down so of course we all are trying to find deals. Be it on food, clothes or insurance, why pay more when you don’t have to? I know many people don’t want to buy cheap insurance because that’s not something you should be cheap about, but have you actually checked to see if you are really gaining anything by paying more? Most likely you are not. If your coverage remains the same then you don’t necessarily have to pay more!
Weight Loss Stories

I’m starting my weight loss journey. I love hearing weight loss success stories because it makes me feel like I can do it. My manager at work recently lost a lot of weight. Granted I didn’t know her before the weight loss it seems like we struggle with the same thing. She was also addicted to Pepsi. She said once she gave that up along with juice things started to improve for her. That was the thing she loved the most so it was the hardest to give up. I feel the same way. I feel like I’m addicted to Pepsi and juice. I’ve taken to diet Pepsi over the last two weeks. I cannot give it up and although I think diet pops are disgusting I’m trying to stick with this. It still has that Pepsi taste and it doesn’t taste as horrible as most diet pops. So what’s your story? I really would like to hear!
